Safe and
Strong Month - St Giles Trust SOS+ workshop on Knife Crime
St Giles Trust SOS+ Programme prevents young people from becoming
involved in gang crime and serious youth violence. They visited the
college to deliver an interactive session on Wednesday 29th
November 2017 to over one hundred learners. This session was run by an
ex-offender who offered his experience, practical tools and knowledge
to learners on how to steer clear of violence and crime. 98% of
learners who attended said they found the session useful. More comments
and feedback below:
“It allowed me to have a better understanding
of how knife crime affects the individual and the consequences of knife
crime.”
“This whole
session was very useful and opened my eyes around the situation which
makes me want to do more proactive work to help stop it.”
“The best part
was getting this information from someone who has experienced it.”

friends carefully.”

sessions like this would be useful.”

showed how serious knife crime is.”
